All pallet designs are produced in accordance with the National Wood Pallet and Container Association’s {NWPCA} standards and specifications.

Heat Treating
All pallets designated for export are heat-treated, certified and stamped in compliance with ISPM-15 standards. At J S Pallet Company, we believe that heat treating is the safest and most reliable way to treat any wood pallet for export.

At J S Pallet Company we offer Remanufactured Pallets / Combination Pallets as an alternative to new pallets for our customers located in Rhode Island ( RI ), Massachusetts ( MA ), Connecticut ( CT ), New Hampshire ( NH ), and other New England states.
Remanufactured pallets are pallets made to size by using only hand-selected reclaimed lumber. Combination pallets are pallets made to size from a combination of new and hand-selected reclaimed lumber. Remanufactured pallets are eco-friendly and provide a great savings to our customers without sacrificing quality. These pallets are either constructed from a combination of new and reclaimed material, or from entirely reclaimed material. Material for these pallets are hand-selected which provides the quality that our customers expect and demand.

J S Pallet Company maintains its outstanding reputation for quality by inspecting every pallet that is returned to our facility. Each pallet is inspected, sorted and repaired to J S Pallet’s high quality standards. Our customers count on J S Pallet to consistently deliver quality reconditioned pallets in an array of grades, in great condition and without protruding nails.
Reconditioned pallets provide a great cost savings to our customers. With a wide selection of reconditioned pallets in inventory, we always have pallets to meet the needs of our customers located in Rhode Island ( RI ), Massachusetts ( MA ), Connecticut ( CT ), New Hampshire ( NH ), and other New England states.
As a full service company we offer a pallet repair and/or a pallet purchase program for customers who receive pallets in their system. Our pallet repair program provides additional savings by repairing pallets “at a discounted rate” and keep an active inventory of our customers’ pallets at our facility for delivery.
Our pallet purchase program will sort standard pallets from a customer’s loads and in turn we will purchase these non-repaired standard pallets. We will provide a trailer at your facility to allow for storage of your pallets, then transport them back to our facility, where we perform the repairs which results in payment or credit.
JS Pallet is also very committed to recycling and caring for the environment. J S Pallet recognizes the responsibility to recycle our unusable lumber when reconditioning our pallets on a daily basis.

What Are Heat Treated (ISPM 15) Pallets?
If you are an export pallet or overseas shipper, heat treated wooden pallets are a business necessity. Due to the deadline put into place from the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC), ISPM 15 standards must be applied to all wood products exported to other countries. All new pallets designated for export are heat treated, certified and stamped in compliance as part of the certification process.
In addition, the heating schedule for wood packaging material should achieve a minimum core temperature of 56⁰C (133⁰F) for a minimum of 30 minutes. The U.S. certification program for heat treatment is administered by the American Lumber Standards Committee.
J S Pallet Company can heat treat standard wooden pallets and custom wooden pallets to meet the proper specification. Our “WoodSave” heat treating trailer ensures that all of our heat treated wooden export pallets are in full compliance for overseas shipping, and arrive at your facility with proper certification.
